What Is a Conversion in Online Reward Platforms?
By LootLadder · Published · Updated
A conversion is a defined action recorded against an advertising goal. It is not automatically a cash payment or a final credited reward; eligibility, approval and the user-visible credit are separate questions.
A defined action, not automatically a payment
In online reward advertising, a conversion is an action recorded against a defined goal. Depending on the offer, the goal could be a qualifying registration, installation or completed milestone. The term describes an event in the advertising journey; it does not by itself establish that a user has received a cash payment or final reward.
Always ask what action the offer means. One offer's conversion goal may be different from another's, even if both appear in the same offerwall.
Keep three questions separate
- What happened? The user completed or submitted an action.
- Does it qualify? The action needs to meet the offer's eligibility and requirements.
- Was the reward credited? The platform records the approved benefit for the user.
These distinctions help explain why a completion confirmation and a reward balance may not change at the same moment. They do not promise a particular sequence of visible status labels on every platform.
Conversion and attribution
Attribution is the connection between an activity and the offer journey that introduced it. Conversion describes the defined action itself. An activity may need investigation because its requirements are unclear or because its connection to the offer needs checking; the words should not be used as an automatic diagnosis.
Follow the intended route and keep the relevant instructions and confirmations. Do not repeat a one-time activity or change accounts to try to create another event. See the beginner guide for the practical steps.
What this means for a missing reward
A technical-sounding label is less useful than the facts: the offer name, required milestone, dates and visible confirmation. If the activity remains pending, compare those details with the platform's guidance and ask for help through its official route.
For LootLadder, a valid approved Sponsored Offer reward must be processed before Crowns are credited. XP is separate progression. Public Help uses completion, approval and credit language because those stages matter to the user. Reward timing and missing-credit checks explain what to do without exposing internal processing details.
Frequently asked questions
Is every conversion a purchase?
No. The defined goal can be another qualifying action, such as registration or a milestone. Read the specific offer.
Is conversion the same as attribution?
No. Conversion describes the defined action; attribution concerns its connection with the offer journey.
Does the term guarantee my reward?
No. A label does not replace the offer’s eligibility, approval or credit requirements.
